The project involves expansion of the productive nucleus of Taverna, located between its agricultural fields and production area. There was a need for an adequate structure able to house the new production technology and a space for reception and sales promotion. The design reveals the double nature of the winery, production and promotion, by routes differing in their flows and views: towards the landscape or facing the production scenario. The plan is organized around a sequence of open spaces and pauses: the patio opening onto the natural surroundings and the representative space, and the entrance for visitors a square, slightly elevated above the landscape and accessible from the ancient Regio Tratturo. On the opposite side, a functional square for loading and unloading heavy machinery, also in connection with the winery porch, where wine is being made.
